Monica Brice

I have been working with children and adults, in several fields, since my early 20’s, some 30 years ago now. This began with completing my nurses training in England specialising in Special Education in 1982. I then went on to work for MENCAP and Social Services managing hostels in the community to support people with learning challenges to live independently.
In 1989 I moved to New Zealand where I continued to work in this field of managing community living for those needing support.
In 1999 I completed my Early Childhood teacher training in Karori, Wellington and worked for 7 years in an inner-city Rudolf Steiner Kindergarten.
In 2012 I completed the post graduate level training as an Extra Lesson Practitioner.
Mingled amongst the years 1991 to 2002 I had 5 beautiful children.
I currently work part time as the Sensory Integration Specialist at Raphael House Rudolf Steiner School and as a private Extra Lesson practitioner both at the school and in Lower Hutt.
My journey to now has been filled with meeting the most profound individuals who have taught me many valuable things, and whom I thank graciously.
